Thank you Rick Chandler for the card and memory. Dad loved every minute he was on the field coaching his teams or just talking to players and other coaches. Jamie

Nothing meant more to him than his kids. A great guy, with a smile as big as the outfield. I was very fortunate to have known him.
Zummer, I am so sorry to read this. Please send my thoughts to Vince as well. It is so hard to loose a parent. Reading posts he seems to be a good man. Sending prayers and wishes for healing. May memories fill your heart with joy. Please tell Sandra how sorry I am also, I have not seen her in awhile but always enjoyed her. Love and blessings to your family.
I will always know Zummer Sr as a great man and great father. He helped raise four excellent children. He instilled hard work to raise his family, and engrained that mentality into the rest of his family. He also did whatever it took to make sure his kids had what they needed at all times. I grew up with Zummer Jr., and considered Ray a second father. Even when we got into our fair share of troubke as kids, I dont ever remember him yelling once. Just humble suggestions about growing uo and making wrong choices. Ray you will be missed forever. Karl Fleck
Sounds like a wonderful man. You were very blessed. Lot’s of love and many prayers to you and your family
He will be remembered as a great man who put his family first. He went without so others could have. He always believed in leading by example. Although we have lost our Dad, Heaven has gained an Angel.
When I think back to life in the “old neighborhood” on Madison Avenue, of course, I think of Ray, Sandra and the kids being across the street. Ray was always a friendly and kind hearted person. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Ray will be greatly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to you Sandra, Christine, Jamie and your families. Love & Hugs, Jenn’s parents, Cherril & Bill
I will always remember dads hearty laugh. It certainly was one of a kind. Just like him
