YVONNE CHU's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Yvonne Chu
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Chu, who peacefully went to be with the Lord at the age of 95. Born in Shanghai, she later moved to Taiwan before settling in Milpitas, California, where she spent her final years surrounded by her loved ones.
Yvonne was a cherished mother to her children Samuel, Alice, and Sherry, and a loving grandmother to Jackie and Sandra. She is also survived by son-in-laws James and Rupert, and granddaughter-in-law Winnie. Family meant the world to her and she always had everyone in her heart and mind.
A woman of elegance, Yvonne took great pride in her appearance. She loved looking pretty, enjoyed the beauty of roses, and adored home décor that was both elegant and extravagant. Her passion for ballroom dancing brought her immense joy throughout her life well into her 80s, where she not only enjoyed the art but also formed lasting friendships.
In her later years, Yvonne found joy in the simple pleasures of technology. Her iPad became her most prized possession. She used it to keep her mind sharp through games like Mahjong and Candy Crush, to stay informed about the world through the news and to reminisce about the past by looking through old photos and videos.
Yvonne leaves behind a legacy of love, beauty, and family devotion. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A short graveside Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 2pm at Skylawn Funeral Home.
