I just wanted to share some wonderful memories of Auntie Yvonne.
Whenever I visited her, she had the most incredible way of making you feel instantly welcomed and loved.
She had this amazing energy and could brighten up a whole room just by walking in.
She was great at making everyone feel comfortable and important, like they truly mattered.
I especially remember the times when my Mom came to visit from Brazil, Auntie Yvonne was always welcoming and interested in her younger sister’s life, it really meant a lot. Those visits were such a special bonding time, showing just how kind and open-minded she was.
She had this amazing ability to connect with everyone, no matter who they were or where they came from, making everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room.
She truly had a gift for making people feel special.
Thinking about her brings back so many happy memories. She’ll be dearly missed, but it’s comforting to know that she’s at peace and in a beautiful place God has prepared for her.

Abu was such a loving and caring grandma. She would always welcome us to visit and to stay with her and would always spend the day before our arrival cooking us a home cooked meal.
We had such great memories. She never hesitated to be silly with us and laugh with us. We would laugh together at the ridiculous Instagram filters like swapping faces or baby-fying your face. She loved taking photos and we made lots of memories travelling together in Victoria, Whistler and Vegas.
I am amazed at Abus resiliency. Even in her 80s, she still ballroom danced. Even in her 90s, she still studied for her drivers license exam and although she didn’t pass initially she persevered and studied and passed! Even when she was sick over the past few years, she still found the energy to eat (even though she didn’t have appetite), and to crochet- learning to make stuffed animals.
I am thankful that God allowed us to share one final happy memory together early January when I was visiting. Out of the blue she suddenly had a craving for IHOP pancakes so we went for lunch. The smile she had when the pancakes came and as I was pouring the syrup was unforgettable. How such a simple pleasure just brought her such joy in the moment.
I wish we would’ve had even more time together, but God has brought you home to Him and to be reunited with grandpa.

Too many good memories to share of my beloved Mom, one of her proudest accomplishments was passing her driver’s license written test at age 93, can drive till 99 on her driver's license, not sure she was breaking the record!! She loved the freedom that driving gave her, even though just limited to the nearby grocery store, mom had a little disagreement when we stopped her driving after the surgery!!
Mom was incredibly talented at crafting, and there are so many beautiful home decorations made by her, she made my favorite Snoopy crochet when she was recovering after the surgery, and that Snoopy became my travel companion wherever I fly!
Mom loved to be pretty and to feel young, she liked to ask people to guess her age and always got the answer 10+ years younger, she was very photogenic and liked to be photographed. I'm glad she did so we have lots of photos can memory her beautiful smile!
We always thought mom could live over 100, unfortunately she had a major surgery at the age of 94, she was a fighter but it was not easy for her, both physically and mentally, she passed away at the remarkable age of 96, and her mind was sharp till the end, a woman whose very independent, and lived life fully and with joy. We named Celebration of Life for her graveside ceremony, and she is in a better place now, without pain and suffering, I love you Mom and you will forever be in my heart ❤️
