Ruth was a second mom to me as I grew into my teen years. Her daughter, Yvonne instantly became my best friend at Mango Jr High at age 12. Ruth was strict with us and we occassionally feared her but it was all in love and she spoiled us in many ways. Ruth was a phenonmenal cook and she definetly passed this down to her daughter. Ruth was always made up and kept a perfect figure and dressed beautifully, truly a woman to admire. Her European roots were always apparent at the dinner table as she would allow us a sip of wine with dinner and the occassional brandy bean for dessert. She also made a thick holiday eggnog that would knock you on your butt in one shot. I remember Ruth with a beautiful heart and smile that could light up room.
