Roy E. Bechthold's Obituary
Roy Bechthold passed away May 26, 2014 at the age of 89 beloved husband of Marion, loving father of Gary and Carol, daughter in law Jill Bechthold and son in law Tony Egan, beloved Papa of Rachelle, Gina, Danny, Jessica and Jared. Great Grandfather of Jade, Gianna, Curtis Beau, Bryn and Beck.Roy was raised in San Francisco Ca., attended Balboa High School, where he met the love of his life Marion. In August of 1945, while serving in the Merchant Marines Roy and Marion were married. In 1952, with two young children, the decision was made to move the family to Belmont Ca.Roy spent over 42 years as a member of U.A. Local 38 working as a Commercial Plumbing Superintendent. All of his working years were spent with the same employer, J Gibbs & Sons.Service will be held at Skylawn Memorial on Wednesday June 4, 2014 @ 11:00.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice.
