Rosa Orellana's Obituary
Rosa Lydia Orellana
June 20, 1949 – September 4, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosa Lydia Orellana, age 75, on September 4, 2024.
Rosa was born on June 20, 1949, to Lydia and Roberto Hernandez. She grew up in Santa Ana, El Salvador. She graduated from Colegio Bautista in 1970.
Rosa was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. She married the love of her life, Hector D. Orellana in 1973, and together they raised two children, Hector Roberto and Eric. Rosa’s unwavering faith in Christ, her deep love for her family, and her servant’s heart defined her life and brought comfort to everyone who knew her.
Rosa and her husband, Hector, moved from El Salvador to the United States, in 1976. Together, they built a strong foundation for their family, raising their sons in the Christian faith, guiding them with love, wisdom, and prayer. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found peace and strength in God’s promises.
Rosa is survived by her husband Hector, her son Hector Roberto (Erica) Orellana, her son Eric (Kelly) Orellana, and her nine grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Cassandra, Natalie, Daniella, Ethan, Isaac, Jordan, and Isaiah. She is also survived by her brother, Pedro Hernandez, her sister, Marina Elizabeth Curran, her sister, Lydia Lorena Lofton, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lydia and Roberto Hernandez.
Though Rosa will be deeply missed, we find comfort knowing she is resting in the arms of her Savior, and her faith lives on in her children and all those she touched.
