I met Rosa Lydia my dearest friend on our first day of high school in line waiting to go in to our first class. We became friends that very first day and we have been friends for more than 50 years.
A few fears after we graduated we both moved to the USA. Far away from our home, our family and our friends we became family. We depended on each other for support to adjust, to survive and to eventually assimilate and thrive so far away from our home. We shared our youth, our adulthood and finally our golden years. I will miss our conversations, our get together I will for ever miss you my sister.
