Bob Hoffman was a long-time friend and fellow advocate for boating in San Francisco Bay. Bob’s active support and untiring encouragement was instrumental in what ultimately became Westpoint Harbor in Redwood City. He and his pal Ralph Nobles were well-known and respected environmentalists who successfully lobbied various agencies, convincing them of the value of recreational boating. And then he successfully removed dozens of abandoned vessels in and around Redwood City through two Aqua Terra projects. I will miss Bob’s friendly face at the Sequoia Yacht Club, his constant encouragement, and his “never give up” advice which still serves me well. He was one in an million. mark sanders
