Raymond Yam's Obituary
Raymond “Ray” Yam, 51, was a caring husband, father, and friend. He left this world on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Sonoma Specialty Hospital.
Ray was born in San Francisco, California to Cho and Sue Yam. He graduated from San Jose State University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He started his career at Exar, then Silicon Image and began working for Apple in 2013 after he moved to San Jose.
He married Annette Wang in 2003 and in 2013, the couple welcomed their beautiful daughter, Aubrey, who is the most important part of their life.
Ray was a loving and caring person. A devoted husband, father, and friend, he always thinks of others first and was always considerate of others in his actions. He was committed and nurturing towards his wife and daughter. He enjoyed playing tennis and baking bread. He also enjoyed reading, especially reading with his daughter. Aubrey remembers her Daddy as funny, silly, and liking Star Wars, but most of all, she remembers he was always 100% present in all aspects of her life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ray is survived by his wife and daughter, Annette and Aubrey; his mother, Sue; and his older brother, Richard. He is predeceased by his father, Cho.
Private services will be held on January 26, 2021 at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.
