Love this! Reminds me so much of Grammy. I can imagine it now… Her laying down on the floor and insisting everyone stay there with her. She was always so welcoming. Such a great memory.
That’s Pamela and Dawn Anita (Dawn Anita is Jerry Plumlee’s wife – Jerry is Pam’s newphew)
I’ll never forget the first time I met Pamela (Pansy to us). My husband, Jerry, her nephew, had told me so much about her and how much he loved her that I felt like I already knew her. She was a sparkling, vivacious, lovely person who lit up the room when she walked in. We were at her Dad’s funeral, and there were lots of folks staying at her folks’ home, and we were concerned about places to sleep, so we said we’d go to a motel. She insisted we stay, and she grabbed a blanket, threw it down on the living room floor, and said “I’m sleeping here, and y’all can just lay down here beside me.” I loved her from that moment on. Jerry and I were so proud we got to see her a few years back in Lake Tahoe. We will always cherish our memories of her. I know all of the family will miss her so much. She was such a beautiful lady in every way. Dawn Anita
