Jan. 10, 2026 I just found out belatedly about Marv's passing in Local 510's monthly news column in the Organized Labor publication. Marv first approached me in the early Nineties at work, like an old friend who had already known about me through bits and pieces of scant info he'd pieced together from various sources, caringly, where most people would have simply overlooked. He drew connections and commonalities about growing up in the City, going to Star of the Sea Elementary, and more. He was instantly warm, funny and witty. The obituary is spot on. His self effacing nature hid his high intellect. He knew something about everything and was also clairvoyant, reading my mind and finishing my thoughts and sentences when I was at a loss, in a very helpful and reassuring way. To know you is to know you forever, Marv my dear friend. My condolences to brothers Mel and Vic, both of whom I met and appreciated as well.
