Mario Bonanni's Obituary
Mario Bonanni age 85 pass away at his home in San Mateo California Monday February 4, 2019. Born May 2, 1933 in L’Aquila, Provincia di L’Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy in a small town called Ovindoli to Beniamino and Francesca Bonanni. At a young age of 15 came to the US by himself to Healdsburg California and stayed with his Uncle Joe. A few years later move to San Francisco to work as a Garbage Man for Sunset Scavenger’s for 37 years. In that time, he met and married Agnes his wife of 62 years November 1, 1952 living in San Francisco for 20 years they had four boys Ben, Ven, George and Frank. Then in 1975 Mario moved his family to San Mateo California. In the years to follow Mario and his wife Agnes enjoyed watching their family grow to 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Mario’s 1st passion was pasta dinner every Sunday and his 2nd was gardening from growing fruit trees at his Clearlake Oaks summer home to attending the vegetable garden in his San Mateo yard.Survived by his, sister in laws… Speranza and Phillis, Sons… Ben, Ven, George and Frank, Niece…. Victoria, Daughter Laws…. Debbie and Sandra, Grandchildren…. Melanie, Fran, Alexandria, Mario, Angela, Giovanna, Anthony and Marco. Great Grandchildren…. Olive, Lucca, Vincenzo and Nora.Predeceased by his wife Agnes, Brothers Luigi and Baptisto, Brother in laws, Marco, Frank, Mike and Mazzino, Sister in laws Antonietta and Evelyn, Daughter in Law Victoria.
