Luree Baker Jr.'s Obituary
Luree Baker Jr. was born in Louisiana on August 11th 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Luree and Helen. He is proceeded in death by his father Luree A. Baker Sr. and his beloved wife, Patricia A. Baker.Luree received his formal education in San Francisco, CA attending Sacred Heart Catholic School (where he was an alter boy, for which he was forever proud); Poly Technical High School, City College of San Francisco, and received both his B.A and M.A from San Francisco State University.He taught theather arts at San Francisco City College and San Francisco State University, worked at the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco Opera, and eventually the San Francisco Symphony until he retired in 2009. Luree was also a member of I.A.T.S.E Local #16 for more than 27 years.Luree leaves behind his mother, Helen C. Baker, many family members, relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed.Eternal Rest grant unto him O’ Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.A private memorial service will be held in Luree’s honor on January 15th at Skylawn Funeral Home.
