Luree was a strong, kind presence in the theater building at City College of San Francisco in the early 70s. I was so happy to see him working the stage at Davies Symphony Hall 20 years later, and thought he remembered me – as he must have hundreds of other students – when I’d say hello to him (my wife thought I was being too forward, but Luree inspired a fellowship with countless young people). I just found out about Luree passing. He was a wonderful friend. I am so sorry that I did not know about this sad event. My prayers go out to his family and he will always remain in my prayers and with the fondest of memories. I met Luree at City College and we remained friends for all these years. I will miss him.
