Josephine was my friend and neighbor. We played bridge, and had breakfast with a special group of friends once a month for 18 years. We walked as a group for years and had a special bond. She loved her family and was always happy when they came to visit. She liked to travel and keep active. I admired how she walked every day with her walker. We had so much fun and laughter together. I met Josephine when they moved ino my neighborhood. Her English wasn’t the best and at times she would ask me what something meant. I would answer as best I could. The one i’ll remember the best was “what is a lollipop?” I fumbled a bit and came up with it’s candy on a stick. I think of that conversation so often and will always remember Josephine.
