Jennifer Gilligan's Obituary
Jennifer Gilligan, age 64, of Sunnyvale, CA passed away on Wednesday, November 17th after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. During her fight, she was an inspiration to not only her family and friends, but her doctor, nurses and other patients as well.She was born December 11, 1945, in England to Eugene and Marjorie Baumgardner. She moved to New Jersey as a baby, where she was raised and met and married the love of her life, Jack Gilligan. Together, they raised their three children in Palo Alto, CA before his passing in 1988 at the age of 44.Although she was taken far too soon, she had already lived a very full life with children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family and good friends whom she loved with all her heart. She was always the life of the party, loved to dance, and had the energy, sparkle, and zest for life of someone half her age. She maintained her exceptional attitude, humor and faith until the end.She is survived by her children, Jennifer Anderson, John Gilligan and Mike Gilligan; grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Ryan Gilligan and Casey Gilligan; brother, Matthew Baumgardner and sister, Enid Greenfield.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Gilligan and her sister, Jane Skrocki.MEMORIAL SERVICE – “CIRCLE OF LIFE” CELEBRATION A celebration of Jennifer’s life for family and friends.
