Jedy Liang's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Jedy Liang on April 29, 2026, at the age of 86. Jedy was surrounded by the enduring love of his wife, Jean, at his side, as he took his final breath.
Born on November 20, 1939, in Macau, Jedy was the beloved son of Ching Liang and Pui-Yuk Tung. Jedy's journey took him from his birthplace to the scenic tropical shores of Honolulu, Hawaii, where he pursued higher education. He proudly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii, an achievement that paved the way for a flourishing career as an artist, industrial designer, business owner and entrepreneur.
As an artist, he found joy in creating beauty and sharing it through his paintings, and sculptures. His entrepreneurial spirit was not just confined to business; it was a way of life, reflecting his zest for new ideas and ventures.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jedy's life was deeply enriched by his faith. As a young adult, he embraced Christianity, accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This spiritual journey was reignited later in life, bringing him profound peace and guidance.
Central to Jedy's life was his everlasting love and dedication for his wife, Jean. Their marriage of over 65 years was a testament to their unwavering commitment and companionship. Together, they built a life full of cherished memories, shared dreams, and unyielding support. Jean, his one and only true love, survives him, along with his sisters Susanna Au-Yeung, Josephine Chan, Linda Chan and double first cousins James Leung and Annie Ching. He touched countless family, friends and acquaintances' lives with his kindness, generosity, humor, quick-wit and wisdom.
A celebration of Jedy's life will be held on May 29, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Skylawn Memorial Park, located at 888 LifeMark Road, Half Moon Bay, CA 94109.
