Condolence to the Guiriba family. From Robert, Velma, Jed & Melissa Silos (Valencia, CA)
My sincere condolences to the family. Our Heavenly father in His word the Bible calls death an enemy (1Cor. 15:26) He promises to do away with death, in the very near future (Rev. 21:4,5) At that time tragedies and accidents will be a thing of the past ,no one will ever get sick (Isaiah 33:24) and there will be a bringing back to life those who have fallen asleep in death. (John 5:28,29) May these words to be of comfort and hope to you. (2Cor. 1:3,4) There is much Bible-based comfort to be found on the website http://www.jw.org
We are shocked & saddened to learn of Al’s passing. We enjoyed every opportunity we had to visit with Al & Yoly. Times like when Al visited us in Arkansas and we showed him what life on the western frontier was really like. We took him to visit the Hanging Judge Parker’s courtroom, jail, gallows & museum. We gave him a taste of true southern cookin’ while in Fort Smith. Then there were the frequent picture postings of his wife & children of whom he was so proud. When we visited Al & Yoly, they were the epitome of gracious hospitality. The traditional meals and sight-seeing excursions were unforgettable. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Yoly, Alex, Camille and all of his family & friends. We will forever cherish our friendship. Dave & Judy Hogan
I first met Al at the lobby during check in at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada sometime in 2004 during the annual National Sales Convention Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceutical. He invited me to join him for lunch and our conversation ended up tracing our past pharma sales background/experience in the Philippines. In the Philippines Al was employed with Bristol Myers Phils and myself with Wm S Merrell Phils. Both of us migrated to USA Al started pharma sales in San Francisco mysel upstate NY. What Started in this meeting we became very close friends. Few years ago he visited and stayed with me in Miami for a week we went to Orlando Ft Lauderdale doing sightseeing however because of summertime he cannot tolerate the Heat and humidity here in South Florida. Also few months ago when I stayed in my timeshare in SF he would come and pick me up we go sightseeing and sometimes we go for full body massage which he like very much and sometimes we talk about his travel plans and investments since both of us Had retired from same pharmaceutical company. It was a privelege to have known Al and I will never forget his thoughfulness and kindness. He would call me if he doesn’t hear from me he just want to check how i am doing I am deeply grieve when I think of his loss and I will never forget the friendliness and Kindness. His passing will be remembered by those of us who loved him so much. Tony D Miami,Forida
So many wonderful memories of my dear friend Al. I first met Al in August, 1978. We were room mates at our initial sales training school for three weeks. We were starting our careers in pharmaceutical sales with Merrell National Labs. We very quickly became best of friends as we grilled each other studying for tests and practiced role plays. We remained very close friends through the years as we talked frequently by phone, visited at sales meetings, and visited with families in each others’ homes. Al was a true professional, consummate gentleman, and dear friend. His pride and joy were his lovely and gracious wife Yoly and his wonderful kids Camille and Alex. One of my fondest memories was when Judy and I visited Al and Yoly just a couple of years ago as guests in their home. We had the most wonderful time ever as we visited the sights of the San Francisco area and were just privileged to spend time together. I will miss him greatly and my prayers will continue to be with his sweet family.
