Gloria and I were close and talked on the phone often in the years after Jerry (Gloria’s brother) & I moved out of California. When I first arrived in this country, I stayed with Bill, Gloria & family, while Jerry was at sea. They treated me as part of the family and I always appreciated that. When Jerry & I moved to Florida, we were too far away to see Gloria often, but we talked on the phone a lot. After Jerry died in 2001, Gloria & I kept in close contact. I am pleased that I visited Gloria in 2006 & spent Thanksgiving with Gloria and the family. I am also pleased that I was able to have a telephone conversation with Gloria after she came home from the hospital and a few days before she passed away. I will miss you Gloria, and your phone calls to share funny little tidbits with me.##imported-begin##Margaret M Lewis##imported-end##

I have known your mom my entire life. She was there from day one. I have so many fond memories of Gloria. From her wonderful cooking to her crafts and sewing talents, to her warm, sweet way , but what I think what I will remember most about her was her wonderful laugh. I can hear it as I type this and it was truly contagious and genuine. I thank all of you, Gary, Vicki, Eric and Annette for sharing her with me as we all grew up. She was a special lady and will always have a place in my heart. Love you all. Edie Ann##imported-begin##Edie Rist##imported-end##
Our families thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I always remember your Mom so quick to show me her latest crafts projects, she was a gifted seamstress. She also was very patient, as she put up with our band rehearsals in her new bedroom and our other various endeavors. Today we are sadden by your loss, but hopeful that in the years to pass, her fond memory will bring joy to your hearts.##imported-begin##Edward Ringue##imported-end##
Missing My Mom… I said I would always Love You and I would miss You when You were gone! Now that time has come and I fell a little lost, a void inside me! I am now the Oldest Overstreet and will comtinue the Family stories, I am proud of my Mom and her crafts, she was my cub scout packs Mother Cub Leader teaching use how to make a bread basket out of popsickle sticks. I always had the best handmade Halloween costumes among my friends. When my friend Butch and I moved into The Colony Apartments on Hickey Blvd in South San Francisco Mom and Dad brought us a housewarming Gift Basket full of all kinds of treats. We both enjoyed that very much. After my first divorce I moved to a studio apartment in Burlingame. When my Mom and Dad came to check it out Mom decided that I needed new curtains. Mom bought some fabric and created new curtains for all my windows. Missing My Mom,,,Love, Gary##imported-begin##Gary Lewis Overstreet##imported-end##
It was hard to lose my Mother…she was my rock….she supported me through my divorce, and when I had to quit working because of my disability. I’m glad that I was able to live with her these past six years.Mom loved to read and I became her personal “librarian”…we had a list of the authors she liked and I would pick up the books for her…you would be amazed how many books she could read in just three weeks…sometimes more than 15…I know she also passed along her love of reading to me.She also passed along her love of crafting to me…I learned how to sew when she was my Brownie Troup leader and earned a sewing badge.I love you Mom, and you will be missed very much and I appreciate everything you did for me and your grandson Kyle. I am thankful that I was able to spend time with you until you were finally at peace.”Those we love don’t go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,Still loved, still missed and very dear”##imported-begin##Victoria Aamot##imported-end##
