Reminiscing over the many years we have known…Effie May Archer-McCallum as a sweetheart, wife, mother, grandmom and great, great grandmother who was very talented in all her endeavors, kind, thoughtful, and pleasant to behold. We look forward to the day we will once again join her in heaven. We will miss her greatly.
During the service, Effie’s favorite hymns were sung by all.
During the service, each one of the McCallum siblings gave a heartfelt testimonial of what a wonderful, loving mother Mom was, and what a joy it was to be with her smiling face, and twinkling green eyes that gave her a unique quality of life.
A funeral service for our beloved Effie was held at Skylawn Chapel in San Mateo, California on April 20, 2013
Grave site: After the ceremony was over we drove to the grave site which over looks the valley below of the coastal town of Half Moon Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The view was inspiring to all to behold. A green granite, heart shaped, two seat bench tombstone has been ordered, so that visitors can sit and reminisce about all the good times for as long as they would like. The grave site is only about a 15 minute drive home. Reception: A superb, four-course, lunch was served at Sam?s Lobster House Restaurant located at the shoreline of Half Moon Bay. The siblings displayed some of the paintings that Mom completed during her lifetime and other creative works of art. From now on when we walk along the beach at Half Moon Bay, we will recall the great times we had with Mom doing the same thing.
