Edward John Palmer's Obituary
Ed was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to so many. He was born in San Francisco to Louise and Ed Palmer Sr., where he grew up and attended St. Ignatius High School. After high school Ed travelled to many parts of the world as a merchant seaman, before he went on to build a successful trucking company, EFL Transportation, where he worked hard, helped so many, and gained countless great friendships and experiences. Ed turned many lives around with his compassion and dedication to others. He served as a mentor for so many with his quiet yet persistent urging to help and guide others to the joy he found in life. He travelled to all parts of the world in the early days with friends, and later with his wife Nancy and daughter Jordan. Ed leaves loving and lasting memories with his beloved wife of 35 years, Nancy Palmer, 3 daughters Karen Palmer-Mohr, Leslie Palmer-Mohr and Jordan Palmer, as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, all of which, will miss him dearly. Ed was preceded in death by his first wife Olive Palmer, daughter Valerie Kim Mannon, Son Gary Gregory Palmer, Grandson Nathan Gregory Palmer and sibling James Martin Palmer. A Celebration of Ed's life luncheon will begin after Internment back at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 1475 Edgewood Road, Redwood City, California.
