Dennis Williams' Obituary
IN LOVING MEMORY OF DENNIS WILLIAMS – Dennis Williams, son of the late Moses Williams, Jr. and Margaret Brown Williams, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 10, 1946. The eldest of nine children, Dennis was a born leader with a remarkable work ethic. Dennis was educated in the Newport News, Virginia public school system and attended Benjamin Franklin Business School in Washington, D.C. Dennis departed this earthly life to enter his heavenly home on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at his home in Parkton, Maryland. Dennis was a dedicated and loving husband, having shared forty-three years of his life in marriage to his wife Deloris. Together, they had two children: Daren and Desiree. His two granddaughters, Anais and Chloe, were the apples of his eye. Grandpa and his girls often visited the zoo, went on nature walks and various special outings. Dennis touched the lives of all who knew him. He faithfully served God in his church, Christian Life Church, under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Hugh Bair. Dennis was the President of the Christian Life Men’s Ministry and helped establish the Young Men’s Mentoring Program at the church. He enjoyed working with and sharing his wisdom with young men in the community. You could often find Dennis working on home improvement projects; planting trees and flowers in his garden, painting home interiors, and completing various tasks to beautify his and his family’s homes. Dennis touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving a legacy of love for family and friends, hard work, and dedication to God. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Deloris Koonce Williams; his son, Daren Williams and wife, Corinne Williams; his daughter, Desiree Williams Payton and husband, Earnest Payton; two lovely granddaughters, Anais and Chloe Williams; three brothers; five sisters; and a host of extended family and friends. The viewing will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30th, at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Home, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, Maryland. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” - 2 Timothy 4:6-8
