Denise Vivian Wong's Obituary
Denise Vivian Wong began her Spiritual Journey in Life on August 29, 2016 in Union City, CA after a four year battle with lung cancer. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, caring sister, and friend to many.Always a cheerful person, Denise was outgoing, high in spirits, and never let anything negative stop her from doing the activities she enjoyed. She spent countless hours volunteering her time as Team Mom at her son’s sports activities including Zebra basketball. In her free time, Denise loved to garden in her backyard planting flowers, painting scenic landscapes, making jewelry, and reading novels. Denise had a sweet tooth that she had no problem satisfying with her baking and culinary skills. Denise was an avid San Francisco Giants and a Golden State Warriors fan. She attended numerous games including the 2012 & 2014 World Series.Denise loved to travel with family and friends. Her favorite worldwide locations to visit include Rome, Greece, Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Costa Rica, Singapore, Vietnam, Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Xian. Her favorite stateside locations to visit include the Hawaiian Islands, Las Vegas, Disneyland, Disney World, the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, and Yosemite National Parks.Denise would not allow her illness to dictate her life. She continued on to winning golf tournaments and mastering the art of Zumba. People gravitated towards her positive attitude.She was preceded by her father Walter Chin and father-in-law Frank Wong.
