I’m still in shock as I had just talked on the phone with Dave the day before he died. I feel for Tammy and their daughter, Amber. but I hope they feel some peace within from knowing just how much Dave loved them — a fact that he shared recently with my daughter and I here at my home while doing some painting for me. I will also never forget his willingness to donate his time to do some painting at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno when I asked him about it a few years ago. He believed and lived the motto of Lions International: “We Serve.” I wonder if he is already painting God’s kingdom…or maybe they’re out boating and fishing together! Carolyn Livengood San Bruno

My prayers out to Dave, Tammy and Amber. So many great memories of growing up with Dave as a neighbor on Newman Drive, going to school with Dave, hanging out during the summer with Dave and the gang, Dave accompanying me on a trip to Hawaii for my wedding, Dave spending time with my boys and daughter, the gang and significant others going out on Halloween, et. He will be missed. Far too many pass away early in life.

I knew Dave from High School and last saw him at the 25 yr. Reunion. Sat at the table with Dave and His wife with my wife and myself..He was stoked to become a father as it was difficult for his wife to concieve and then it happened. David was so greatful and very happy. I am saddened by the passing and it just seems that alot of us are passing away from the school we attended, El Camino High SSF, class of 74……. I am praying for all those who knew him, his family, etc. I plan on attending the service this Saturday to support all and learn more about him and have closure…The David I knew was a really great person. I saw Dave on Thanksgiving and had a great conversation with him. He talked a lot about Amber and how very proud he was of her. I am glad that I got to spend those few hours with him.

I first met Dave in l984 when the family took me out for my birthday dinner in South San Francisco. We had a great time, ate lots of food, and laughed and laughed a lot. He was a great guy?so friendly and ready with a smile. When I had him and his business partner down to Santa Cruz to paint my apartment, he did not blink an eye when I told them both they could sleep on the couches. Not a problem. Great person and so sad to hear of his passing from our lives. I know Kristina, Elizabeth, and Linda are feeling his loss. They were a loving family. Dave gave Linda away at her wedding to my brother!

Dave you may have left this earthly existence, but you will remain in our hearts and memories for ever. I can only imagine the hi jinks you and Isaac are caring on in your Heavenly paradise. Feel comfort in knowing Amber and Tammy will be taken care of by family and friends. Cheers Mate.
