Beverly Diane Saxton's Obituary
Beverly Diane Saxton, née Rhodes, of Half Moon Bay, California, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2025, at the age of 68 after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 28, 1957, in Indiana.
Beverly is lovingly remembered by her daughter Rebecca Pate and son-in-law Lee; her grandchildren Janada Cook, Jessica Loyd (Jacob), Monica Ellenburg (Kyle), and George Myers III; and her nine great-grandchildren Keira, Isabella, Grayson, Sunnie, Braiden, Kenan, Jasper, Karter, and Jalen. She is also survived by her sister Debra Skinner (Alvin), her brother Richard Rhodes, and ten nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beryl E. Winant (née Goshorn), as well as her two beloved horses, Cruiser and Tuff.
Throughout her life, Beverly called many places home—including Indiana, Montana, Athens Greece, Washington, Texas, and ultimately California—forming lasting friendships along the way. For over 21 years, she lived in Half Moon Bay where she spent most of her time at The Sea Horse Ranch, where she found deep joy in caring for her horses and many others and building a close-knit community. Her love for animals and the ranch life defined much of her time there. Among her dearest friends were Willa, Virpi, Irene, and many others who shared in her journey.
Beverly’s vibrant spirit and the bonds she formed across states and generations leave a lasting legacy. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
