An Thi Nguyen (Quang Nhien)'s Obituary
An Thi Nguyen born on January 19, 1925, resident of San Francisco, CA, since 1971, made her transition peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 16, 2020; just a month shy of her 96th birthday.
She is survived by her four children Evelyne Mai, Nhat Mai, John Mai, and Hoai Tran.
In 1968, as a single mother, she courageously immigrated to the United States from Vietnam with three children, seeking a better life - one free from war, safety, and opportunity. She was a devoted mother and provider to her children, who are forever grateful for her love and sacrifices.
Personally and professionally, An Thi Nguyen was a tireless and selfless giver, always looking to help and be of service. As a social worker for the City and County of SF, she helped those in need, becoming an advocate for immigrants with job placement, social welfare programs, and other referral services.
