I first met Alan years ago when he dropped off his daughter, Terry, to her first group guitar lesson in Cupertino in the 1970s. Then I met up with Alan and Georgette years later through our mutual dulcimer playing dear friend, Peter Tommerup. We’d see each other at music camps and musical gatherings. Years later Alan helped my sons complete the “community service hours,” they’d been assigned for their brief go at crime (vandalism). Through all the years, I came to love Alan and Georgette and admire them as they put their dear families together.Alan was a gentleman who made one feel at ease, had a great sense of humor and I will always miss him.
