Our Story

Designed by noted San Francisco landscape architects French and Jones, Skylawn Memorial Park was built on over 134 acres and has expanded to more than 500 acres since its opening in 1959. Because it is surrounded by a wildlife preserve, Skylawn’s vast beauty will remain unspoiled for generations.

Inside the park are beautifully landscaped gardens, with several set aside for specific cultural and community groups, including two remarkable Chinese gardens developed to the exact specifications of international Feng Shui masters.

Known for its dignity, peace and serenity, Skylawn is a full-service facility offering the one-stop convenience of an expansive funeral home, cemetery and on-site crematory. Having provided exceptional service for nearly 60 years, we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built on quality, sincerity and trust, with services that celebrate the life of each individual and respect the wishes of every family.

Our Reviews

Online reviews can be very helpful when you’re trying to decide what works best for you and your family. Please be aware that sites such as Yelp have a filter for reviews — so what you’re reading might not always be a completely accurate reflection of how people have rated our business. When you’re online, we recommend that you also check the “currently not recommended” review section.
In the unfortunate and sudden passing of my father, our family needed to find a venue that could accommodate his friends, colleagues and our family members. My dad was a great community man and was cherished and loved by many. Our expectations were that around 500 people would attend. We ended up hosting over 600 people. The flow went extremely well and the staff were amazing at predicting our needs.

If I could give Skylawn Funeral Home more stars, I would. Clifford Yee and his team helped me and my family navigate through a very difficult time by helping us put together an incredible memorial service for my aunt. The facilities are beautiful, filled with light, spacious, scenic.
Cliff's knowledge of the Chinese customs made the whole ceremony run very smoothly. Cliff's kind words and personalization during the ceremony made us feel like we had a family member that was taking good care of us and helping us through the process.

No one can really be prepared for what lies ahead when losing a loved one. Thankfully, we were guided by Steven Wong and his staff. From selecting the materials to planning the service and having the reception, Steven and his staff were very patient and compassionate. All our family members and guests complimented how beautiful the service was. If you are looking for a final resting place for a loved one, I highly recommend Skylawn Memorial Park.
