of Millbrae, CA, for 36 years
Zlatko Saric passed away on March 30th 2022 peacefully and suddenly,
surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who was full
of love for his family, especially his 5 grandchildren. Everyone that knew him was touched by his generosity, sense of humor, and kind personality. He dearly loved his Croatian community friends with whom he celebrated many occasions with music and good wine.
Zlatko was born in Osijek, Croatia and moved to Hvar at the age of 15. He grew up an athlete, and became a professional handball player. He was also a famous DJ at Amfora Hvar for 10 years. Hvar held a special place in his heart. The friendships that he established there meant so much to him.
He married the love of his life, Miriana, and they had three children. He and Miriana owned Millbrae Paradise Retirement Home.
Zlatko was very active in the Croatian community, helping Croatia and many refugee families during the Croatian war for independence. His dream was to one day move back to Croatia.
Zlatko is survived by his wife, Miriana, daughter Zlatka Savino and her husband Frank; sons Tony and his wife Anita and Nikola Saric; grandchildren Vincent, Ella & Adam Savino and Anabelle & Lily Saric. He is also survived by his brother Perica Saric and his family.
He loved music and was always happy and singing. His personality touched many people and he will be dearly missed. His memory will be cherished forever.

And to the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass and Burial on Thursday,
April 6th at 11:00 AM at Skylawn Memorial Park at Hwy 92 and Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94062.
There will be a lunch reception immediately following the burial in the same location.
