Yueh Ling Sun's Obituary
Dr. Yueh-Ling “Lois” Sun was born Sep. 23, 1924 in Shandong, China, grew up in Xuzhou, China, moved to Pingtung, Taiwan with her husband in 1949, and immigrated to the US in the 90’s. She was the third child among the five children of her parents. She went with the Lord in peace on Jan. 2, 2017 in San Francisco, CA. She is survived by her son Chiang-Ming, her daughters Rebecca, Marie, and Vivian, and her son-in-laws Robert, Bill, and Phillip. She is also survived by three grandchildren Christina, Christopher, Victoria, grandson-in-law Charlie, Gabriel, granddaughter-in-law Katy, and seven great grandchildren Aiden, Dylan, Isabella, Jordan, Jayson, Jaden, and Zander. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Lung-Tzer Chen, and all her siblings.Her father was one of the first western medical doctors in China trained at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. She followed her father’s footstep in medicine. She later studied acupuncture in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the US and served as an acupuncture doctor and a medical missionary. Her life goal was to help people by spreading gospel while serving people’s medical needs.She was truly a loving person because she did every word in “1 Corinthians 13:4-8”.4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.Dr. Yueh-Ling Sun will be laid to rest in Skylawn Memorial Park on Jan. 14, 2017.
