Willis Adeline Stevens June 25, 1932 to January 21, 2017 Willis Adeline Stevens wife of Robert (Bob) Stevens of 65 years passed away on January 21, 2017 at the home of her daughter Mary Stevens where she was being cared for by Mary and under Hospice Care.Willis was born in Litchfield, MN to her parents Clifford and Dorothy Lewerenz. Her parents and brother Clifton Lewerenz (Mary) preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Stevens, son Larry Stevens (Valerie), daughters Pamela Tellez ( Joseph), Darlene Stevens, Mary Stevens, brothers Paul Lewerenz and Jerome Lewerenz (Marie), grandsons Jason Tellez (Janelle), Brandon Tellez (Amber), Derrick Stevens (Ashley), Ryan Stevens, granddaughter Christina Davis (Cody), step grandchildren Bonnie Headley (Jim), Lindsey Tellez, Kelli Conner (Jason), 9 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren, brother-in-law’s Richard Stevens (Joyce), Walter Stevens (Mary Ann), and nephews, nieces and cousins.Mom loved living in Minnesota close to family, friends and her church as a young girl. When mom was nine her dad and mom along with her brothers moved to Bend, Oregon. In her early teens she moved to San Francisco with her mother and brothers. Mom met and married dad in 1951 while he was serving in the Navy stationed at Hunters Point, San Francisco and their son was born that same year. After dad was discharged from the Navy they returned to dad’s hometown of Omaha, NE where their daughters were born. Then in 1965 dad and mom decided to return to California where they settled in San Mateo, where mom lived the remainder of her life. Mom was a loving and caring mother and devoted to dad. She loved to read, play games and enjoyed dancing, along with spending time with family. Mom’s faith in Christ was an important part of her life and she wanted to pass her love for God to her family and friends.A Memorial Service will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park, February 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at Hwy 92 at Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CARemembrances can be made in her honor to a charity of your choice.
