Blake Sandy
Condolences to all of Bob?s family and friends from the Sandy family. My dad and Bob were close friends growing up in Boise, San Francisco and further down the peninsula and continued to have lunch on fairly regular basis through 2013. My dad asked him to be his Best Man at my parents wedding. My earliest memory of Bob was having dinner at his house and I just wouldn?t stop talking about how great the gravy was so he put together a little container so I could take some home. I saw Bob at the opening of the Anderson Collection at Stanford and shared that memory with him. No story of the Shaw family is complete without the one of Teresa, Steve, my sister Allison and me having dinner at the kids table and sticking olives on the ends of our fingers. I remember when I was in college and I asked my dad who his best friend was and he said my mom but I pressed him for another name and he said Bob Shaw. All good memories of a very good man.
