William "Bill" Denkers' Obituary
William Denkers, age 72, died in San Mateo, California on January 30, 2015 of complications from heart surgery.Bill was born in San Francisco to Byron and Florence Denkers. A long-time resident of San Mateo County, he attended local schools and eventually earned his law degree. Admitted to the State Bar of California in 1974, he practiced for 40 years, specializing in civil and family law at his independent San Bruno practice. Bill taught law for court reporters and business law at Cañada College, as well as bar review courses. He acted as Judge Pro Tempore in all districts of the San Mateo County Superior Court. Bill was an avid reader, an animal lover and advocate, a passionate gardener, and a prolific writer of prose and poetry. He enjoyed a wide range of music from classical and jazz to rock and roll.Bill is survived by his beloved wife Glory and beloved daughters Kimberly and Jennifer, along with many animal friends. He mentored nieces and nephews, students and clients over the years and he will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.Services will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Mateo on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. Skylawn will also be his final resting place.
