Willa Lee Simon entered into rest on November 05, 2019 at 98 years of age in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Albany, GA to Willie Green who preceded her in death and Lucille (Clark) Green/ Lindsay who preceded her in death. She is preceded in death by her late husband James Andrew Simon. She is preceded in death by sisters: Baby Girl Green; Susie Mae Brazell and brothers: George Gordon Lindsay; Gordon Donald Lindsay Sr. She is preceded in death by niece Seretta Jean MarshallWilla Lee Simon is survived by brother Daniel David Lindsay; Nieces: Kellei Stokes TX; Annette (Dimarco) Brown; Wanda Brazell; Pajah Lindsay; Sonia Lindsay; Angel Lindsay; Deborah (Kenny) Thigpen; Danessa Lindsay; Dionne (Robert} Brooks. Nephews: Damon Sims CA; Victor (Diana) Stokes OR; Jon Stokes CA; Jerome Brazell; John Brazell; Horace Brazell; Gordon Lindsay Jr.; Donald Lindsay; Ish Lindsay. Cousins: Cora Chatman CA; Jennifer Chatman CA; Carlos (Ronald) Herring GA; Susie Lee Dydell MI. A host of great nieces; great nephews; cousins; extended family and friends.Willa Lee Simon was married to James Andrew Simon for 46 years. She was a military wife and worked voluntarily as a USO organizer at every base her husband was stationed for his 30 dedicated years in the United States Service.In May of 1974 Willa Lee Simon joined St, John Missionary Baptist Church located in San Francisco, CA where she remained a dedicated member for 45 years. She was the chairperson of Marth’s Circle for many years. She attended Sunday school on a regular basis and was a member of the Mission Choir. Willa Lee Simon loved life and her family. She was deeply loved and will truly be missed. Rest Peacefully.
