Wen-Jie Zhou's Obituary
Wen-Jie Zhou, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on December 9, 2025, at the age of 56.
She was born on December 11, 1968, in Shanghai, China, and devoted her life to her family. She is survived by her husband, Tony, and her daughter, Alexandra, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Wen-Jie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from California State University, East Bay, and later received her Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College.
She built a distinguished career in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and leadership. Over the course of her career, she worked at Genentech, Bayer, Nektar Therapeutics, and Seagen, contributing to the development and quality of life-saving therapies that helped countless patients.
She enjoyed hiking and was an avid traveler, having explored all seven continents—a reflection of her curiosity, independence, and love of the world.
Wen-Jie will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and the quiet love she showed to those around her. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on December 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park, 888 Lifemark Road, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
