Walter Stanley Bartkowiak's Obituary
Walter Stanley Bartkowiak, aged 96, of San Mateo, California passed away peacefully at Mills-Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame, California on February 10, 2021 at 11:30am.
He was born on February 8, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Walter and Helen Bartkowiak.He served in the Army, from 1943-1945. He retired at 62 years of age after 25 years of working for United Airlines as a mechanic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lilo Bartkowiak, children Glenn Bartkowiak (Jeanne), Lori Bartkowiak, Step son Jeff Sauer (Anne), grandchildren Dayna Hardie (Laurence), Craig Bartkowiak (Katie), Garrett Baumgartner, and great grandchildren, Kamilla Bartkowiak and Lewis Hardie.
He was proceeded in death by his first wife Catherine and daughter Sharon Baumgartner.
A private family memorial and burial service will be held at Skylawn Memorial.
