Wallace Chan's Obituary
Left us at age 64 and preceded in death by his parents, Wing Foon and Tuey Goon, and his son, Clinton. Graduated from Polytechnic High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from San Francisco State University. Wally leaves behind his beloved wife of 24 years, Rosalind, 3 children: Jeremy (Marilyn), Tad (Christina), and Tanessa (Taka). Wally was the proud grandfather of Aiden, Janelle, Jenna, and Marc. He is also survived by his brother Munson (Elaina) and their family. Wally most recently served as a Special Advisor for UCSF. In addition, he has served as the National Director and Western Field Office Director for the US Department of Health & Human Services and was a Principal for KPMG. Wally had a warm and humorous nature and made everyone he met feel like family. He loved to eat, travel, play poker, and barbeque. His specialty was prime rib. Most importantly, he loved spending quality time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. In the past, he enjoyed taking his sons, Clinton and Jeremy, to Giants' baseball games and 49er's football games. Wally was much loved and well respected by everyone ' his family, friends, as well as his colleagues near and far. He will be fondly remembered for his love, devotion, and generous spirit towards his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Chinatown Community Development Center, American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. A public memorial service will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in San Mateo on Saturday June 1st: visitation begins at 11AM and the service begins at noon. Hawaiian attire is appropriate.
