Wai Kin Ho's Obituary
January 17, 1938 – July 20, 2026
Mr. Wai Kin Ho, age 88, entered into the presence of the Lord and Savior on Monday, July 20, 2026. Born on January 17, 1938, in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, Mr. Was Kin Ho was admitted to Hefei University before moving to Hong Kong in the 1960s. In 1966, he married Mrs. Yau Fung Ho, beginning a lifelong partnership devoted to the family.
A hardworking and lifelong learner, our father spent many years managing a jewelry company and furthered his professional expertise by completing certificate programs in gemstones and jewelry at Hong Kong Baptist University. He worked in Thailand for several years, where he learned to speak quite a bit of Thai, and traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia on business. Although he had built a successful and comfortable life in Hong Kong, concerned about Hong Kong's transition in 1997 and our future, he chose to immigrate to the United States with us at the end of 1987. After helping us establish a new home, he returned alone to Hong Kong to continue working, faithfully providing for his family from afar. Though the separation was difficult, he believed it was the best way to secure our future. His life demonstrated the values of diligence, perseverance, and sacrificial love.
Raised in the tradition of Chinese Buddhism, Mr. Ho later came to know Christ Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Mountain View Lord's Grace Christian Church in 2014. His faith in Christ brought him enduring hope and peace. We will remember him for his easy smile, perseverance, helpfulness, and commitment to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Yau Fung Ho; his children, Chrystal and her husband, David Pao; Ai Ti; and David and his wife, Liwen. He was a devoted grandfather to Charis Pao, Serena Pao, Ethan Ho, and Chloe Ho. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Michael Ho.
