Vladimir Debabov's Obituary
Vladimir D. Debabov, 21, of Foster City, CA, died January 21, 2012 as a result of injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident. He was born on October 14, 1990 in Moscow, Russia, the son of Dmitri Debabov and Vera Rakhmanova. He graduated from Bowditch Middle school in 2005 and Mills High school in 2009. At Mills, he was a member of track and tennis teams and an active part of the high school’s Interact club which promotes international understanding. Vladimir was currently a student at UC Berkeley, Haas Undergraduate School of Business. At Berkeley, Vladimir was an integral member of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity as a part of the Chi Class. He held several important positions in the fraternity and was a mentor to many younger members. He was also part of the Tennis at Cal club. Vladimir is survived by his parents Dmitri Debabov and Vera Rakhmanova and his half-sister Maria Debabova. He also leaves his maternal grandfather, Anatoly Rakhmanov; and his paternal grandparents, Vladimir Debabov and Anna Oleinik. He is also survived by two aunts, Barbara Ulmasov and Irina Leneva, three cousins, Alik Ulmasov, Andrei Evstratov and Dmitri Lenev and many good friends. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Skylawn Funeral Home in San Mateo, CA. Visitation hours will be 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, January 26, 2012 followed by a Funeral Service that will begin at 1:00pm with a Graveside Service and Reception after the conclusion of the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations in Vladimir's name to the athletic program at Mills High School 400 Murchison Drive, Millbrae, California94030.
