Vilandre Volcimus' Obituary
VilAndré Volcimus was born on June 3rd, 1938 to Marie Michel Hermance and Arnold Volcimus in Port-au-Prince on the island of Haiti. His father was a missionary spreading the gospel and the love of God wherever the Lord would guide.VilAndré followed in his dad’s footsteps and at the age of 7, VilAndré would stand on a chair and preach God’s word; a fervent devotion and calling that was never quenched. He was a minister in the Body of Christ for over 50 years and loved the spirit of God, the word of God and the people of God.He married his soul mate, Christine on April 9, 1968 and they were married for 45 years. Their son Jason was born on March 21, 1973. They have two lovely grandchildren, Christopher (age 18) and Aaliyah (age 12) and two adorable adopted grandchildren, Emilie Hagan and Christina Malbrough.He worked at Stanford University in the Maintenance Department for 30 years. VilAndré spoke Creole, French, and Spanish and was a translator to international students at Stanford University for over 12 years.
