Dear Chitra, our deepest condolences to you, Uncle, Ravi, Sonia, Ashwin and other family members. I would like to take the liberty to wish the same to myself and my family too as Aunty and you all made us a part of your extended family and we feel her loss very much. It is very difficult to believe Aunty is no more. I couldn’t get myself to write to you the past two days. I was reminded of the passing of my maternal grandmother at her similar age and we weren’t there during her last moments.
We remember Aunty very fondly especially how caring and kind she was. She made us feel a part of your family whenever we met. She inquired about everyone’s well being by name. We feel blessed to know her even through occasional visits. She was kind and caring to Aditi as well. I told Aditi that she is no more and she was very upset. I was surprised to see that she remembered her so well. Aditi asked about Aunty every few hours during the pst two days. I asked her if she wanted to say something to remember her.
This was her message to Aunty:
Dear Vijji Ammamma,
I am so sad that you are gone. I promised I would meet you again. I wish I could have kept that promise. I will miss our games, your pulihora, your hugs, but most of all, your smile. That radiant smile of yours would warm everyone’s heart. I will always fondly treasure and remember our time together.
Love, Aditi
Even though she met her only a few times last summer, Aunty’s friendship, caring and kindness was so strong that Aditi remembers her so vividly and fondly.
We can only imagine the loss you must all feel but we wish you strength and courage at this difficult time. Please know that we share your loss and are here to support in any way we can.
Om shanti 🙏🏼
Ajay Myneni and Aditi
