Vida Madani-Kamangar's Obituary
Mrs. Vida Madani-Kamangar passed away at age 71 on Dec 22, 2011 in Walnut Creek, CA after bravely battling with pancreatic cancer since June 2010. She was born April 3, 1940 in Malayer, Iran to Seyed Ahmad Madani and Mohtaram Sadat Razavi. She had 2 sisters Azar and Lily and 3 brothers Rahman, Rahim and Fereydoon Madani. Rahim and Fereydoon Madani had passed away. She was married to Dr. Teymour Kamangar on the eve of winter solstice, Dec 22 1968. She lived with love with her husband and took care of him while he was sick for several years until he passed away in 1998. She is survived by two daughters Nazar Kamangar and Nadia Kamangar and 4 grandchildren Roxanna and Tina Abedi, Nikki and Keon Faroughi. She was the sweetest mother, an exceptional grand mother, a lovable wife, one of a kind sister and extraordinary person who lived with unconditional love to all with generosity, patience, kindness, courage,braveness, boldness, forgiveness and sacrifice who touched so many people's heart in her life time.She got married on “Yalda Night” the longest night of the year and left us on the dawn of the longest night of the year on Dec 22, 2011 at 4:48 a.m. She will live in our heart and will never leave... We are honoring her wishes on her will. She asked ' Not' to have a memorial service in either Tehran or California.
