Velda and I have been friends since I moved out here to San Francisco in 1988. She was always inclusive, making sure that you were invited to her now famous Christmas, birthday, anytime is a good time to celebrate kind of parties. She was not fond of cats. A flaw that I forgave her for. She loved to laugh, had a joy for life, and I will miss her everyday. Velda, I will see you again. Velda and I had been friends for over 24 years. She was one of the first people I contacted when I moved up to San Francisco and we’d been friends ever since.
