My mom was born in San Fernando , Masbate Philippines on May 21, 1915 to Severino ONtog and Rosario Loilo. Was amrried to Diosdado Ginete from Bulan, Sorsogon and bore 5 children ( 3 girls and 2 boys) of which 2 are living (Medy and myself) both living in San Francisco and Bay area. She became a widow in 1998. She came to the US in 1975 (38 yrs ago) thru the petition of my elder sister, Medy, after then mom petitioned me and my family (me, my husband and my 5 boys) and we came to US in 1996 and has been living here since then. As our mom aged, she suffered multiple health problems of which the most ….dementia, a chronic or persistent disorder of mental processes caused by brain disease or injury to older people and marked by memory disorder (ulianin in tagalog), personality changes and impaired reasoning (luoy man). Mom loves reading books especially american books like novels, she was a good cook, she was fond of ballroom dancing (vocation of seniors here), and she became Mrs. Luzon in the Fil-Am Association of San Francisco in the 80’s . She was a choosy person when it comes to friends…kinda an aloof person , she was a martinet (strict disciplinarian) but a caring one. That is all i can say about my mom to my knowlegde and this is in memory of her… RIP dear mother!
