It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vadim Ratner, who passed away on June 13, 2026, at the age of 66.
Vadim was born on July 15, 1959, in Odessa, former USSR, where he spent his early years before building a life marked by hard work, dedication, and devotion to his family. Throughout his professional career, Vadim worked as a Database Administrator, earning the respect of colleagues for his technical expertise, reliability, and thoughtful approach to every challenge.
Above all else, Vadim treasured his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. His kindness, wisdom, sense of responsibility, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who knew him.
Vadim is lovingly survived by his beloved wife, Liliya Latman of Belmont, California; his daughter, Adelina Ratner (Konstantin) of Belmont, California; and his cherished grandchildren, Enya and Isaac, whose lives were enriched by his love and guidance.
Vadim's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
