Nacido en México el 22 de febrero de 1952, Urbano llevó consigo la calidez de su tierra natal a dondequiera que iba. Los juegos amistosos de voleibol, billar y dominó eran algunas de sus formas favoritas de reunir a la familia.
La buena comida era otro deleite, y nada lo complacía más que un generoso plato de mole o carnitas. Alrededor de la mesa enseñaba a sus hijos el valor del trabajo duro y la responsabilidad, lecciones impartidas con paciencia y un apetito dispuesto. Su colaboración con su esposa, María Ríos Macías, se mantenía como un ejemplo diario de compromiso constante.
Urbano falleció el 20 de octubre de 2025 en el Hospital de Stanford, Palo Alto, dejando recuerdos que se sienten brillantes y cercanos. Al reunirnos en su honor, elegimos la alegría, agradecidos por una vida que nos mostró cómo vivir con impulso, jugar con el corazón y saborear cada comida.

Born in Mexico on February 22nd, 1952, Urbano carried the warmth of his homeland wherever he went. Friendly games of volleyball, pool, and dominoes were among his favorite ways to gather family. Each match was a chance for easy laughter and shared joy.
Good food was another delight, and nothing pleased him more than a generous plate of mole or carnitas. Around the table he taught his children the value of hard work and responsibility, lessons delivered with patience and a ready appetite. His partnership with his wife, Maria Rios Macias, stood as a daily example of steady commitment.
Urbano passed on October 20th, 2025 at Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto, leaving behind memories that feel bright and close. As we gather in his honor, we choose joy, grateful for a life that showed us how to live with drive, play with heart, and savor every meal.
