Tomiko Sugawara Mislang's Obituary
Mislang, Tomiko Sugawara-Passed away on November 4, 2011. She was 85 years old. Tomiko was Born on March 14, 1926 in Japan. Second daughter of the late TOYOZO and MIYONO SUGAWARA of SENDAI. She met and married her beloved husband ALEJANDRO MISLANG in 1951. In may of 1956, Tomiko and Alejandro left Japan to start a new life in America. They had two loving sons: Alejandro Mislang Jr. and Arne Mislang and three wonderful grand children: Ramon, Michael and Natasha.Tomiko had a rewarding career in nursing. She enjoyed, cooking, reading japanese magazines, sewing, knitting, and watching samurai action movies. Another passion of her was doing crossword puzzles. She loved going weekly to Millbrae Pancake House for Swedish pancakes for breakfast and Japantown for Shoyu Ramen for lunch. However she would always mention she would love to have fish and Chips at the Red Robbin resturant. Her favorite places to shop for food was Trader Joes and Farmers market for fresh fruit and vegetables. She looked forward for any action movies to watch at the Century 20 theater in Daly City. Tomiko had an exciting and wonderful full life. She has touched the lives of many in a special way. We will miss her dearly.
