I would see Uncle often on the weekends when I was young, either at Golden Coffee or at his home. I would like to consider myself a veteran visitor of Golden Coffee. Sitting at the counter top and watching Uncle work his magic, serving happiness on a plate. My favorite was the scramble egg and beef over rice. I wanted to pay at least once and left money under the plate. Told Uncle and Ed, thanks, see you later. I took off and after crossing the street, I felt mission was accomplished. Until I heard yelling behind me. Everyone on Sutter and Leavenworth did. That was the fastest I've seen Uncle bolted after someone and he told me don't ever do that again. I froze in shock, Uncle had quick legs and at the same time felt his love and comfort with keeping me thick. Thank you Uncle.
