Tammy Peng's Obituary
Tammy Peng passed away at Redwood City, California on June 10, 2017, at the age of 73. Tammy is predeceased by her Father Deng Yao-Xin, Mother Peng Wen-Zheng, Brother Deng Ji-Wang. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years. They married in Taipei on November 14, 1964. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Solon, daughters Ellen, Connie, Judy, son Tony, son-in-law Jen-Kuei, and granddaughter Madelyn.Tammy was born in Canton Province, China on May 17, 1944. At age three she moved to Taiwan with her family where she earned a bachelor’s degree from Taiwan Provincial Junior Teachers’ College.Tammy began her career in education as a kindergarten teacher. She went on and started an independent preschool and kindergarten. Over the period of 40 years, the school expanded from a handful of students in one classroom to three campuses throughout the city of Taipei. Under Tammy’s direction, thousands of children received care and education. As an innovator and active member of early childhood education in Taipei, Tammy also fostered and encouraged many budding educators.After retirement she resided in Foster City, California enjoying what life has to offer such as singing with her friends and exercising in the nearby fitness facility. Tammy traveled extensively and had the pleasure of visiting many wonders around the world.The funeral service will be held at the Pacific Chapel located inside Skylawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Highway 92 at Skyline Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94402 on June 28, 2017, at 10:00 am.Condolences for the family may be offered online at www.bit.ly/tammypeng.
