Takatoshi (Terry) TerahiraSeptember 21, 1935 ' January 14, 2012 Family and friends are saddened by the loss of their friend and father, Takatoshi Terahira on January 14, 2012 in Belmont, California. Takatoshi was born on September 21, 1935, in Tokyo, Japan. He was the fourth of six children and started his business career as an apprentice tea maker in Kobe. Shortly after Takatoshi married Minako Tsukiji on March 30, 1967 in Japan, they moved to the United States. He lived in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Honolulu, and San Francisco pursuing his business aspirations. He was the president of Tokyo Bento, Kotobuki Foods, Mana Foods, and Briano in Hawaii. Through these business ventures, hard work, and resilience, he provided for his family. He was a wise, smart, strong man. As a young man, Takatoshi enjoyed golf, fishing, and traveling, but loved good food and drink to the end. His wife, Minako, his sons, Ken and Koh, his daughter, Misa, his son-in-law, Daniel, and his grandsons, Hiroki and Taiyo, survive Takatoshi Terahira.
